Project two - Download Manager

Provide a way for the user to download more than 3 files and be notify with the status

• Certain ad-hoc download could be longer to process (multiple hours depending on complexity of Query, Traffic and Data).
• Additionally, the system limitations prohibits users to have more than 3 concurrent downloads.
• Which leaves users clueless about the status of their downloads and leading them to re-submit Download requests. However, as the users cannot have more than 3 concurrent downloads, they are unable to process further download requests.
• Additionally, the users cannot cancel an ongoing download job if they wanted to expedite another file.

• Provide a Dashboard for evaluating all the downloads triggered.
• Ability to take action on the downloads in progress.
• Ability to access the downloaded content

1. The user can trigger the download using either the Mail or Download option. After a download is successfully triggered, a success validation message is displayed. The message should guide the user to review the Download Manager Page in the Navigation Menu for details on the download.
2. A notification bubble is displayed next to the “Report Manager” tab.
3. The user can use the navigation bar to reach the Download Manager page and see a notification on it alerting of a download.
4. This section will only contain the downloads in progress. When the downloads are finished the file should move to the “Historic Downloads”

8. Pressing the cancel button would cancel the download and move the file to the historic download section.
9. The download button would download the file to their browsers. This button would only display if the file has been successfully downloaded.
10. Hitting the “Retry” button would re-trigger downloads and move the file to the “Active Downloads” section. This button would only display for files that were cancelled or failed.
11. The status for downloads, The status can either be Finished, Cancelled or Failed.
12. Success validation message when the file has been triggered to download on browser.

Project three - Adhoc Basic Chart

Users want to be able to see grahical visualisation of RAT data that allows user to create line chart, bar and donut

Currently, user can only create RAT reports in the UI as tables - columns and rows of data showing dimension organised by metrics. However for many users there is a desire to analyse the data in a more visual manner. Moreover visualisations that are available on other analytics suites (like Demo, Tableau) are oriented towards powers users - the sheer amount of options for customisation are daunting for the average RAT user. We wish to create a simple to use visualisation creation tool that empowers these ordinary users to create visualisations in a non-intimidating way.

For this MVP, we will introduce 3 types of visualization to be available to the user:

• Bar Chart
• Line Chart
• Pie Chart

User generates new bar chart visualisation

1. Log into RAT UI
2. Click on Visualisation on left hand menu arrive at Visualisation page
3. User selects Create New Project button and is taken to New Report Creation Page
4. Add 1 dimension (only 1-system will prevent additional selection, choose from Dimension list on the left as in existing Ad hoc flow) place onto:
   • X-axis to create a Vertical chart
   • Y-axis to create a Horizontal chart
   • Based on the selection of axes, the pulldown menu to the right will automatically adjust the selection based on user choice (Business Requirement, when chart is switched, only the values will move between the X axis and Y axis on the edit page the axis fields themselves will not move.
5. Add a metrics (select from Metric list on the left as in existing Ad hoc flow) place onto
6. Near the date selector on the upper right corner of this page is a toggle for Auto-preview this is set by default to On and chart will automatically generate when a user adds 1 value to X-axis and 1 value to Y-axis. If the user selects ‘Off’’ then the screen will show Message 1.
7. (Optional) Drag another dimension (typically but not restricted to Hour,Day,Month,Year) into the Series box and the chart will be segmented by the time value. User expectation is a default of 30 days for day-based charts and a default of 24 hours for hour-based charts.
8. (Optional) User can drag a hit-based segment (which will be the only saved segments that will display in MVP) to the Segment box.
9. Select date range using existing date selection flow in RAT UI. We will stick with existing time limitations of 3 months that exists in Ad hoc mode. User cannot create charts that extends to a period greater than 3 months.
